COVID-19 Booster Clinics

We have answered the HSE's call for GP's in Ireland to again partake in the emergency booster program.

They have asked that all non urgent and routine appointments be pushed out to the New Year.

We are still seeing patients on an 'urgent' & 'emergency' basis.

Please bear with us while we continue the vaccination roll-out as efficiently as possible. Click the link below to book yourself in for a COVID-19 Booster vaccine.

COVID-19

We are currently exiting the 3rd lockdown phase of Covid 19.

We are continuing to provide general medical care and  Covid related consultations by telephone.

It important to seek Medical attention as normal if you have any symptoms you are concerned about, whether Covid or non-covid. Please be patient with our staff. We are experiencing an unprecedented increase in phonecalls at this time.

If you have an emergency, dial 999 for an ambulance.

We would like to thank everyone for their understanding at this time.

Our usual way of interacting together has changed and it takes longer. This is to ensure safe practice. To this end we are still obliged to consult remotely where possible and to triage all calls via doctor to achieve this. We are ensuring that our surgery remains safe for you and your loved ones should they need to attend. When a patient is asked to attend they may rest assured that all public health advice in relation to hygiene has been adhered to. All this takes additional time but it is worth it. It has saved lives.

IMPORTANT- PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY IF YOU SUSPECT YOU HAVE Covid-19- SEEK TELEPHONE ADVICE FIRST

Protocol during COVID-19 Pandemic Phase 3:

1. If you require medical attention, please contact the surgery by telephone on 01-8217548

2. If you have covid symptoms, you will be sent a link to a questionnaire to be filled, and you will be contacted by a GP to discuss you symptoms and arrange for testing if necessary.

3. If your condition is non-covid related, you will be scheduled for a telephone consultation with one of our GPs. We can arrange for remote prescribing to the pharmacy by email if this is appropriate. Sometimes, the GP may arrange for you to attend the surgery in person if they feel this is necessary. We are following all public health guidance in relation to this.

4. You will be sent a text message the day prior to your appointment. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY IF YOU HAVE ANY COVID SYMPTOMS, OR IF YOU HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH ANYONE WITH COVID SYMPTOMS.

5. When attending the surgery for an appointment, please travel by car if at all possible. For safety/social distancing reasons, we are not currently using our waiting room. We endeavour to see you as soon as possible, however such is the nature of GP that sometimes we may be running over time. If you are not travelling by car, please wear weather appropriate clothing.

6. We would ask that you wear a mask when attending the surgery.

7. Please buzz in at the door to let reception know you are in attendance. The receptionist will run through a few covid questions with you. You will then be asked to wait outside until the doctor/nurse has donned their Personal Protective gear and will come to collect you at the door.

8. In order to reduce face to face contact with reception, we would ask that you contact them by telephone to settle any bills or to make any further appointments e.g. for bloods ordered by the doctor.

**REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS**

PLEASE CONTACT RECEPTION TO REQUEST REPEAT PRESCRIPTION. PLEASE ALLOW 48HOURS FOR YOUR PRESCRIPTION SUBMISSION TO THE PHARMACY. YOUR PHARMACY CAN ISSUE A 5 DAY EMERGENCY SUPPLY IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION.
